Byron & Chris met in February of 2015. Not wanting to be cliche and have their first date on Valentine's Day, they held off two days and went on their first date on February 16th. It didn't take long for either of them to realize this was something special.
About a year and a half later, they purchased their home in NE Portland. With their immediate families present for their housewarming BBQ, Byron dropped to one knee and proposed to Chris. They started a new chapter in their lives together. Along with their dog Niko, they have worked to build a beautiful life together.
With all the changes in a relatively short period, they were happily engaged but in no rush to have a wedding. Just about all of you asked them at one point in the last four years, "When is the big day?" Well, the day is finally here, and they are excited to be taking the next step in their relationship and to celebrate their love for each other in the presence of their family and friends.
The wedding will take place at the family home of Byron's mother Julie and step-father Roger, in Silverton, Oregon. Scroll down for more information about their wedding day. They can't wait to celebrate with all of you!
Ryan and Chris met through mutual friends at Prost Portland in 2012. As Chris moved from Vancouver to Downtown Portland, they became fast friends and have continued to enjoy wild nights out, road trips, junk food binges, and hikes.

JP and Chris met eight years ago on a Portland night out. JP was in a parked car when he caught a glimpse of Chris walking down the street. Without hesitation, JP cat-called for Chris in an effort to introduce himself and the rest was history. They have been a source of love and support for each other through career changes, relocations, challenges and celebrations. They share a common interest in humor, travel, weather, music, movies, cuisine and thrill rides to name a few. Whether it’s dinner and movies at home, a trip to the river to soak up the sun, or dancing the night away on a concert cruise in the Bahamas, they know how to appreciate each other and rejoice in life! Through it all they have created a lifelong cherished friendship as strong as family.

Thomas and Chris’ friendship began about six years ago shortly after Thomas moved to Portland from Grand Rapids, Michigan. They met at Hobo’s in downtown Portland where Thomas started bartending shortly after his move. They immediately hit it off and started dating, realizing they had quite a special connection. While their connection was unique, two bottoms don’t make a top! Thomas now lives in San Francisco, however, they frequently travel back and forth to spend long weekends with each other and remain best friends.
Chris is bold and thankfully so. There had been a number of occasions that we’d seen each other around Portland, but hadn’t really spent a lot of time together. One day a number of years ago, in a crowded gym, he came over and yelled with a wrist wave, “hey girl. we’re here at the same time we should just workout together.” Then he asked

One day a number of years ago, in a crowded gym, he came over and yelled with a wrist wave, “hey girl. we’re here at the same time we should just workout together.” Then he asked if he sounded really gay, which he did. We both cracked up and became instant friends. Through day to day life, travel, his superior Instagram content, softball, and a helluva lot of wigs, we’ve been laughing with and at each other ever since. And I’m a much better person because of it.
I became friends with Chris and Byron during a trip to Palm Springs three years ago. Chris and I quickly connected over pop culture, concerts, and hours of conversation over coffee. One of our best memories was going to Las Vegas to see Britney Spears which prompted many more concert dates over the last couple of years. I appreciate Chris

I appreciate Chris’s confidence, humor and more than anything his willingness to listen.
Chris and I met in 2014, back when his hair was bigger than his wig collection. I found his love for photography and adventurous lifestyle inspiring. It was what first drew me to him. We became best friends thereafter, bonding over countless nights of scary movies and junk food. I admire him so much, especially his ability to light up a room.

While they learned pretty quick that they weren't meant to be together (at least not like that...) they did become pretty good wingmen and have had some pretty epic memories . Even with several cross-country moves their friendship has stood the test of time and distance.
The day Byron graced this world with his presence, Sarah put on her prettiest frilly dress, a little beret in her hair and her best shiny little mary jane shoes. The day Byron graced this world with his presence, Sarah put on her prettiest frilly dress, a little beret in her hair and her best shiny little mary jane shoes. When she got to the hospital she climbed in bed with her mom and saw the cutest fluffy haired toehead there ever was. It was love at first sight! Well, until they brought that screaming, crying, attention steeling toehead home! It only took another 16-18 years for that love to come back. And now Sarah couldn't imagine life without her friend, her rock, her brother that she loves so very much.
Tyler met Byron through his wife Danielle right after college. Byron had just installed a mini golf course in his backyard and he BBQ'd ribs while we attempted to put the ball in the hole after a few too many beers. Byron and Tyler have since shared many adventures, some of which they remember, and Byron serves as godfather to his two daughters.
Dan met Byron in 2011 and the two became fast friends. Throughout the years, they have celebrated accomplishments, traveled the world, and Byron has even become an honorary Blackman!
Byron and William (BJ) first met after college while they both lived in Minneapolis, MN. However, it was several years later when fate moved them both to Las Vegas within a few months of each other that their friendship truly blossomed. Byron and William (BJ) first met after college while they both lived in Minneapolis, MN. However, it was several years later when fate moved them both to Las Vegas within a few months of each other that their friendship truly blossomed. As old friends in a new city, when they weren’t playing shuffle board at the Garage or drinking jalapeño margaritas by Bryon’s pool, they were making some unforgettable memories navigating Sin City together. Despite life moving them to different places in the ensuing years, time and distance hasn’t changed the friendship they forged in the Nevada desert.
Aaron and Byron met just a few years ago as undergrads at Chapman University. It was homie-love at first hang out. Through the years they had adventures, near death experiences, and at least one friendly sucker punch for some reason. They were mistaken, seriously, for twins on at least one occasion. Though the years and the miles apart
Aaron and Byron met just a few years ago as undergrads at Chapman University. It was homie-love at first hang out. Through the years they had adventures, near death experiences, and at least one friendly sucker punch for some reason. They were mistaken, seriously, for twins on at least one occasion. Though the years and the miles apart have steadily grown, they're friendship has never waned. Brothers then, now, and always.
Kelly has known both Byron and Chris for several years as they share so many of the same wonderful friends. Over the years these 3 gravitated towards each other for their similarities in appreciating humor, friend gatherings, and onesie slumber parties
Chris & Byron adopted Niko in 2015 and he has stood watch over their domain ever since. When he's not climbing the giant tree in their backyard, he's protecting his family from the dangers of birds and squirrels. He is honored and humbled to be asked to fulfill the important role of Ring Bearer - he has been practicing for months
